Audiophile review: nextDrive Spectra X

Disclaimer: I was sent two units to review, one for Headfonia, and one for ohm-image / Fauxtaku Lounge. I paid nothing for them. Spectra X will go on sale next week and is slated for a ~180$ USD price point.

For more about it, hit up nextDrive’s Spectra X website: https://www.nextdrive-spectra.io

Spectra X is a good upgrade to nextDrive’s original Spectra USB DAC for your computer and smartphone. It measures better, sounds a bit better, and packs in some pretty cool tech to make it one of the best deals in this segment.

Excellent review. I stumbled across the Headphonia review first. I am about to buy either CA Vega or Atlas, and was looking for a small DAC to power them though my computer and Smartphone. How do these compare with ifi iDSD nano BL, ifi xDSD and the Chord Mojo ? Is there any differencein the SQ ? Thanks ! Subscribed 🙂

@ 1:24 actually your instincts were correct: it will handle up to 11.2MHz (Quad Rate) DSD. Great review!
