Soundstream RUB.124W Audiophile Review

3 part review:
Build quality
Frequency response graphs from WINISD box program
My application/experience

The Soundstream RUB.124 is a really solid subwoofer for under $100. It has an overall deeper sound than the previously reviewed Pioneer TS-W311D4. I have tried both subwoofers in the large ported box and in a small sealed box. It still retains a slightly punchy feel and is not an earthshaking SPL subwoofer. In my application I have achieved excellent sound quality with enough SPL to hear it on the highway with the windows down.

Its pressed paper cone but soundstream puts a plastic dish dust cap on which to me plastic robs performance and u get more cone area with out that dumb plastic dust cap. I used a recone for a sound stream t5 15 inch model to recone a fi q 15 subwoofer yah i left to dust cap off and used the old fi small dust cap

Nice review. Excellent value for the money in Soundstream products overall. I will take a friendly dig at you though :)For a “sound quality” guy you sure listen to some crap quality music, lol. jk
